Updated Uni Connect Planning Datasets Now Available

We are pleased to announce that the latest Uni Connect Planning Datasets have been uploaded to the File Store, and can be accessed with the following links:

Following this release, the data in the Uni Connect table at the bottom of the Characteristics tab on an Institution record has also been updated, to reflect the data relevant to the Autumn Census 2024/25.

New updates to the Uni Connect Planning Datasets

Following the Winter Technical Update 2024, the Type of Establishment field on the HEAT database has been updated to use Department for Education (DfE) values. As such, the additional Type of Establishment field sourced from the DfE source file has been removed from the Uni Connect Secondary Planning Dataset, as it would duplicate the HEAT Type of Establishment field.

The Type of Establishment field has also been renamed from ‘Institution Type (HEAT)’ to ‘Type of Establishment (HEAT)’.

Similarly, the Phase field sourced from the DfE source file has been removed from the Uni Connect Secondary Planning Dataset, as it would duplicate the HEAT Phase of Education field, which is also sourced from the DfE’s Get Information About Schools (GIAS) database.
