- Institution record data update: General and Characteristics data for Scottish Institutions
The Institution records for Scottish Institutions have now been updated with the General and Characteristics data pertaining to 2024/25
We are pleased to announce that the following fields have been updated for Scottish institutions, where data is available:
General tab:
- ‘Name’
- ‘Street’
- ‘Locality’
- ‘Address3’
- ‘Town’
- ‘County’
- ‘Postcode’
- ‘Office Telephone’
- ‘Office Email’
- ‘Website’
- ‘Phase’
- ‘Local Authority Name/Code’
Characteristics tab:
- ‘Pupil Counts’
- ‘Pupil Counts by Year Group’
- ‘Ethnic Groups and Ethnicity’
- ‘First Language’
- ‘Free School Meals’
- ‘Number Receiving Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support’
The Characteristics fields can be found in the Characteristics tab of an Institution record, under the sections titled ‘Pupil Counts’ and ‘Pupil Characteristics’.
The fields are also included in the General Tab of the Institution Profile Report and are exportable via an Institution Export. The Institution Profile Report can be downloaded via the Reports section of the database (members only), and contains the Characteristics tab data, alongside other key demographical Institution data such as the Destinations and Attainment tabs.
This update relates to data for the 2024/25 Academic Year, which is the most recent available dataset.
For further information regarding which fields are updated for each country’s update, please see the Institution Profile Source resource, which can be accessed via the ellipsis (overflow menu) on any Institution record (members only) by selecting the option to ‘Download Source File’.
