Institution record data update: Attainment data for Northern Irish institutions

We are pleased to announce that the following fields have been updated for Northern Irish institutions, where data is available:

• ‘Key Stage 4: Pupils achieving 5 or more GCSE grades A* to C’ (Northern Ireland only)
• ‘Key Stage 5: Pupils achieving 3 levels at grades A* to C’ (Northern Ireland only)

These fields can be found in the Attainment tab of an Institution record, under the sections titled ‘Key Stage 4 (KS4) and Key Stage 5 (KS5) Northern Ireland only’. The fields are also exportable via an Institution Profile Report (members only), which can be found on the Reports section of HEAT.

This update relates to data for the 2024/25 Academic Year, which is the most recent available dataset, and applies to Secondary and Post-16 Phase institutions.

Institution Profile Data for Targeting

The fields are also included in the Institution Profile Report, under the tabs titled ‘4. Year 11’ and ‘5. Years 12-13’.

The Institution Profile Report contains the Attainment tab data alongside other key demographical information, such as the Destinations and Characteristics data, to support effective targeting of schools and colleges based on learner characteristics. It is available for download from the Reports section of the database (members only).
