We are delighted to say that we have now received the delayed HESA Track data 2022/23 HE Entry Year from Jisc and are in the process of checking and uploading the data to the database.
Jisc have worked really hard to send us the data slightly earlier than indicated in our last announcement, so thanks must go to them for this.
We realise you will all be very keen to get your hands on your data, and please rest assured we are doing all we can to process it as quickly as possible. However, we do need to allow a four to six week period to check and upload the data to the database, especially given changes to the field values following the new collection model.
Working on this new timeline, we are now anticipating that the HESA data will be available for members to download from the HEAT database by mid August 2025.
We have been working hard to improve our HESA Track Dashboard, which you will be able to connect to your HESA data to visualise the results.
The new version includes much more comparator data, including school average data. This will allow you to compare the outcomes of your tracked students with a population who attend the same schools, therefore strengthening the claims you can make with your tracking data.
We are also exploring adding additional analysis which makes use of Power BI’s Key Influencers visuals, allowing us to see which factors drive the outcomes that interest us. We will be holding a launch webinar closer to the time to show you all these exciting new additions.
If you have any questions about this update, please don’t hesitate to contact us via HEAT Support.
