We are pleased to announce that the Key Stage 4 (KS4) Attainment Track datasets for the exam year of 2024 are now available for download from the Reports area of the database alongside a range of updated resources.
If you have worked with students between 2019/20 and 2023/24 who took their GCSEs in the Summer of 2024, then this release will allow you to see the attainment outcomes of these outreach participants, their school-average comparator, and any custom comparator students you recorded.
In the webinar taking place on Wednesday 13th May 2026, 10:00-11:00 AM, we showcase the latest data released and revamped KS4 Attainment Track Power BI Dashboard, and update you on the breadth of resources available to support the evaluation of your pre-16 attainment raising interventions.
Please see the event announcement to sign up and find out more.
The KS4 Attainment Track is a key element of our suite of tracking datasets and dashboards, shown as the ‘Key Stage 4 (GCSE) Data & Dashboard’ in the HEAT Track diagram. This data supports HEAT members with the final stage of evaluation, Analysing Impact.
Through the KS4 Attainment Track, members can access a range of attainment metrics for their outreach participants, their school-average comparator, and any tracked custom comparator groups, aggregated at Activity Type, Programme Title and Descriptor levels. This supports your organisation to evaluate the effectiveness of your pre-16 outreach activities.
Find out more in our online training course, an interactive guide to the KS4 Attainment Track and how it supports you in the evaluation of your pre-16 attainment raising outreach activities. You will need a Moodle account to access online training. Login using the following button, or get started with an account following the three easy steps on our Training & Support page.
Your organisation’s latest dataset can be downloaded using the ‘Download Data’ button under ‘Key Stage 4 Track’ in the Reports area of the database.
Since the last release, we have made the following improvements to the dataset:
The following roles can access the dataset: Lead, Lead Lite, Coordinator, Coordinator Lite and Users with All Reports. If you are not authorised to download the dataset, please contact your organisation’s HEAT Point of Contact for assistance.
Please note: For the 2024 exam year, we created datasets for 116 members who worked with tracking eligible students between 2019/20 and 2023/24. Student counts and outcome metrics have been rounded and suppressed in line with the Department for Education’s requirements to prevent statistical disclosure. As a result, members with very small tracked cohorts may experience largely or fully suppressed datasets. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch via HEAT Support to discuss how your data may be improved for future exam cohorts.
The KS4 Attainment Track Power BI Dashboard offers instant insights into your KS4 Attainment Track data. It is available to download using the ‘Download Dashboard’ button under ‘Key Stage 4 Track’ in the Reports area of the database. Follow the quick and easy set-up instructions included in the dashboard download to get your organisation’s dataset connected.
Since the last release, we have made some exciting updates to the dashboard:
