To support members to get the most out of their Key Stage 4 Attainment Tracking Dashboard for the 2023 exam year, we have created an interactive online training course which focuses on HEAT’s Key Stage 4 Track. This is the first of HEAT’s online training courses, and we have more planned in the pipeline and so all feedback is very welcome.
The new training course provides an interactive guide to all the key information members need to know about the HEAT Key Stage 4 Attainment Track. Using this resource will help members show the impact of their pre-16 Attainment Raising interventions. The course explains how to use existing tracking data for impact reporting, and provides advice on how to record data optimally to generate more robust evidence in the future. The course is therefore suitable for all members – those with data currently in the Track and those still in the stages of planning their evaluation of attainment-raising interventions.
Our many thanks to our member testers for providing feedback on our initial course; we are keen to develop these training resources to be as useful as possible to support member knowledge, and as such when working through the training material, we would be grateful if you could complete this short feedback survey.
The HEAT online training courses are hosted online on the University’s of Kent’s Moodle External system within which we have our own HEAT Training area for all members to use.
To access the training courses, members can easily set up their own Moodle account and login, which will allow them to access and monitor their progress throughout the HEAT Training Courses, as well as revisit any content as needed and progress through in their own time.
A User Guide for setting up your account and accessing the online training course can be found on File Store (members only).
The online training courses are available to any HEAT member User who wishes to work through the content.
Following the launch of the online training course area, the Key Stage 4 Track is the first training course available for members to engage with to support their understanding of all stages of the Track.
We are also planning further training courses to be made available in due time, including content covering the following;
As with all guidance resources that HEAT provide, the training courses will be reviewed and updated as needed, and are designed to work with the HEAT User Guides to provide holistic support for member use of the database and tools for evaluation.
If you require any support in accessing the online training courses, or if you have any queries in regard to the content of this update, please contact HEAT Support.
