Upcoming dataset release: Key Stage 4 Attainment Data to be released in four weeks’ time

The Data Team are pleased to announce that the Key Stage 4 (KS4) Attainment datasets for the 2023 exam year will be available to download from the File Store in four weeks’ time, and are expected to be uploaded to HEAT on Friday 29^th November 2024.

As with previous releases, you will be able to download your Institution’s KS4 dataset from the File Store, and the KS4 Attainment Dashboard will also be updated accordingly for the 2023 exam year.

Updates in the 2023 Exam Year release

The release of the KS4 Attainment data for the 2023 cohort will see the following updates to the dataset:

• The inclusion of a Maths, English, and Science subject grade in the School Average comparator group
• The Percentage Achieved Standard (9-4) and Strong (9-5) Passes are now calculated on unrounded counts for Participants and the Comparison and Control comparator groups

Key Stage 4 2023 Webinar

Once the KS4 data is ready for members, we plan to run a webinar where the Data Team will showcase the Key Stage 4 Attainment Power BI Dashboard and discuss how the resource can be used to show the impact of your pre-16 attainment raising interventions.

We will announce the webinar date in due course and invite members to sign up.

Key Stage 4 Online Training Course

The release of the 2023 Exam Year data will also see the release of our new HEAT Key Stage 4 Track Training Course. This training course has been developed by the Data Team to take you through each step of the Key Stage 4 Track process, including preparing your data for the matching by the Department for Education, how to set-up and navigate the Key Stage 4 Power BI Dashboard, and tips on using your data for evaluation.
