Winter 2025 Hotfixes

Expand each section for more information about the fixes released to the HEAT system.

2.30.1 (Released 11/12/2025)

Fixed the bug which caused the Institution Profile Report to fail when generated
Amended the visual issues which caused the i-Button icon to overlap text on Student HESA field names

2.30.2 (Released 07/01/2026)

Fixed a bug on the Student Record Higher Education tab where the ‘Tracked by HESA’ and ‘Found by HESA’ fields did not align with the underlying data
Resolved error which occurred when deleting an Evaluation Plan ‘Target’ Field List item
Resolved a sorting issue which occurred in the ‘Tracked by HESA’ and ‘Complete’ columns on the Student record search grid
Updated Work Opportunity invite logic to only invite Ambassadors with a valid Contract Template when specified on the Criteria tab

2.30.3 (Released 27/01/2026)

In the Users export, the ‘Record State’ field list options have been updated to prevent these categories displaying as codes and to aid with record management
In the Student Ambassador Programme, the /timesheets endpoint has been added to the API
Fixed an issue in Student exports where changes to a Student’s ‘Last Known Institution’ on the system were not being correctly exported in the output
A validation rule was added to Imports to flag updates that use ‘#null’ for a Student’s ‘Last Known Institution’ when that Student is listed as a Beneficiary on an Activity record
In the Student Ambassador Programme, the ‘Contract Number’ field has been added to Ambassador Timesheet exports to help with the administration of Contracts

2.30.3.1 (Released 29/01/2026)

Fixed an issue affecting the Ambassador Portal of the Student Ambassador Programme, where Ambassadors were unable to submit Timesheets for individual sessions on a Work Opportunity

2.30.4 (Released 19/02/2026)

Fixed an issue in the Student Duplicate Clean Tool where archived values for the following fields were incorrectly displayed as blank:
- Ethnic Group, Ethnicity, Sexual Orientation, Religion Beliefs, Care Leaver, Estranged, Part Time, Service Children, Young Carer, and Has Dependants
Updated access permissions for the Higher Education Track report page. Access now requires ‘Create HESA Track Report’ alongside either: ‘Export Students’ and ‘View Student HESA Data’ or ‘Export Ambassadors’ and ‘View Ambassador HESA Data’
Fixed an issue affecting the #null command when importing Student and Ambassador Disability fields. This function now works as expected, and when used, will remove existing values before adding new values
In the Users area of the database, a new ‘HEEL’ value has been added to the ‘Point of Contact’ field. All Database and Uni Connect Point of Contacts will initially be assigned as the designated HEAT HEEL Point of Contact
In the ‘Include Data’ spreadsheet of the Delivery Report, an issue causing the the Activity Contents column to show as blank on the Content by Descriptor table has been fixed

2.30.5 (Released 12/03/2026)

Resolved the mismatched Activity ‘Contact Hours’ values which appeared in Institution Coverage Export and the Coverage tab of an Institution record
Fixed an issue in Activity records which occurred when making bulk changes to the ‘Record Status’ field
Updated default filtering logic on the Ambassador Retention page to display current Ambassador records
Resolved error which prevented Ambassador Contracts reports to be generated
Fixed an issue which prevented sorting the Student record table by the ‘Updated’ column in the Students area of the database
Updated the static file for the Student and Ambassador Higher Education Track with the latest information
Work Opportunity records now automatically reindex when an Ambassador Application status changes
Student record Import validation now displays the Student’s ‘Last Known Institution’ during record matching to improve the user experience
On the side menu of the database, a link to the HEAT online training resources has been added
Fixed text scaling issues which affected display of the database on smaller screens

2.30.6 (Released 07/04/2026)

Added the ability to search for Ambassador Applications using full names
Fixed an issue in the Student record, where upon attaching files in the Notes tab, users were prompted to save the record twice
To improve database security, a logic has been implemented which ends all other active sessions in the database when a User’s password is reset
Removed Field Setting options for the Ambassador ‘Retention’ field and ‘Contract’ modal fields in the Ambassador Portal
