News regarding security compliance, including the latest penetration test and Cyber Security certification
Penetration Test commencing week 28th October 2024
We would like to make members aware that the latest system penetration testing is underway. Recommendations from the test will be processed as per usual, and all urgent and high priority points will be immediately fixed, followed by medium priority points. Low priority points will be assessed to determine the best way forward.
Cyber Essential Certification
A meeting with the University of Kent’s lead on Cyber Security certification, is arranged for 11th November 2024. Thereafter, HEAT will renew its Cyber Security certificate.
Working with Welldata as Microsoft Azure Defender (now Microsoft Entra ID) is implemented.
Finally, for those unaware, we work with Welldata, who are a ‘critical friend’ for all our Database, Server, and Application Management needs. We are currently working together to ensure our Entra setup is as efficient as possible. Entra (formerly Microsoft Azure Defender) is an inbuilt security solution that HEAT uses as per the JISC architectural review recommendations.
