I am pleased to share that we have recently conducted this year’s Accessibility review. We have assessed all aspects of the HEAT system, the new website, and our document output.
This is our fourth annual review, and we are pleased to announce that this year has been successful. Recommendations include adjustments to the database and website focus upon improving keyboard and screen reader accessibility. Please look out for Summer Technical Updates which will detail these changes as they are implemented. We have also conducted our usual check on File Store resources and have confirmed that all spot-checked records adhere to our Accessibility guidelines.
We are always keen to hear from any HEAT users who have any accessibility needs when using the Service. We would love to put together a group of Accessibility Users who could feedback on the database in the way that they access it. If you use a screen reader or do not use a mouse, or have any other ways in which you access and use HEAT, we would love to hear from you. We invite all users to get in touch with us via HEAT Support to find out more about our approach to Accessibility.
Our Case Study, outlining the accessibility journey, is available to access from the File Store on the database, and the HEAT Accessibility Statement is on the website. Should you have any questions regarding accessibility please get in touch with HEAT Support.
