We are pleased to announce that the Institution Profile Dashboard has been updated to include the most up to date comparator data available from the Department for Education (DfE).
In this update, we have also implemented technical updates to account for the move to the new academic year, which affects the name of fields in the main underlying dataset source file.
Launched in June 2024, the dashboard is designed to provide a user-friendly and interactive way for members to easily interrogate and visualise Institution data. The dashboard has been designed to allow members to set up their own custom targeting criteria and then identify and compare Institutions on the HEAT database against their custom criteria, supporting with the Targeting stage of the evaluation cycle.
Additionally, you can use this dashboard to take a deep-dive into the Student population within your identified target Institutions, as well as how that Institution compares to Local Authority, Regional, or National comparators.
This update refreshes the comparator dataset that is provided alongside the Institution Profile Dashboard to include the latest available Destinations data that is available from the DfE, which has been updated as per our recent Data Update.
The updated Destinations data pertains to the 2022/23 academic year, and the comparator dataset provides this data to National, Regional, and Local Authority-level, subject to availability.
The Institution Profile Dashboard can be downloaded from the File Store (members only), which also includes the datasets required to use with the dashboard in order to access its full functionality. In the download, we also provide supporting guidance which outlines how to set up the dashboard and other key information for reference.
We hope you find this update useful, if you have any questions, please contact HEAT Support.
