A new working changelog resource detailing the planned field changes to the Student and Ambassador fields using HESA data values is now available for members on the File Store
Following our recent Data Update pertaining to the planned development to align Student and Ambassador field values with HESA’s Data Futures model, we have made a new resource available for access in the File Store which outlines the changes to the Student and Ambassador record fields that are impacted by changes to HESA values.
This resource is a working file, which means that it will be continuously updated to reflect planned changes and timelines to support with our development to align Student and Ambassador field values with the valid entries from the HESA Data Dictionary. This resource is intended to support members with any planning or changes in their recording as a result of the changes, and to provide working timelines in regard to the planned updates.
What will the resource contain?
The changelog file outlines the following information:
- The database area and files impacted by the change
- The previous and new field values as a result of the change
- The action of the change; for example, new field value to be added, an archived field value
- The proposed date of when the change will be actioned
- The context of when the change will be actioned; i.e. Hotfix or Technical Update
