Institution record update: Name Migration for Hartpury University

We would like to make all HEAT members aware that we will shortly be updating the name of Institution record #053764 (members only) from Hartpury College to Hartpury University and creating a new Institution record for Hartpury College. This is to ensure we have two separate institutions in the database to more accurately reflect their separate status and improve reporting.

As a part of this transition, the new record for Hartpury College will be populated with the Department for Education (DfE) information for Hartpury College.

This change will come into effect on Friday 10^th April 2026.

Why are we making this change?

The transition is being implemented due to the current HEAT ID corresponding to the DfE record for Hartpury College, and so an updated Institution Name and the transition of Hartpury College to a new record will ensure that they are both accurately represented throughout the system, both in their own data recording and in any partnered/beneficiary data recording.

How will this impact HEAT member Institution Groups?

We are making all HEAT members aware of this change as it may impact the Institution HEAT ID utilised when recording partnered activity delivery involving the Hartpury University HEAT member.

We will liaise directly with HEAT members who have activity delivery recorded with Institution HEAT ID #00053764 to discuss potential transition and to provide support for this process.

Where activity delivery is intended to reflect the University as the partner/beneficiary institution, then the HEAT ID #00053764 will continue to be the appropriate record to use. However, if it is the College that is the intended partner/beneficiary institution then the new Institution record will need to be used instead.
