We are pleased to announce that the following fields have been updated for English institutions, where data is available:
These updated fields can be found in the ‘Key Stage 2 (KS2)’, ‘Key Stage 4 (KS4)’ and ‘Key Stage 5 (KS5)’ sections of the Attainment tab of an Institution record. The fields are also exportable via an Institution Profile Report (members only), which can be found on the Reports section of HEAT.
This update relates to data for the 2023/24 Academic Year, which is the most recent available data, and the update applies to Primary, Secondary, and Post-16 Phase institutions.
There are Key Stage 2 attainment fields which have not been updated due to their omission from the current (2023/24) and next (2024/25) attainment dataset releases. The Department for Education (DfE) states their reason for omission as “KS2 pupils in these years did not have KS1 assessments due to the COVID-19 pandemic”. The fields impacted are as follows:
For more information regarding the 2023/24 release, please see the DfE’s website.
For further information regarding which fields are updated for each country’s update, please see the Institution Profile Source resource, which can be accessed via the ellipsis (overflow menu) on any Institution record (members only) by selecting the option to ‘Download Source File’.
As part of our Events schedule, we will be running our Using HEAT for Targeting Webinar on Monday the 12th of May 10 – 11 AM, where the Data Team will showcase the targeting data available, including the Institution data and how this can be extracted from the database. For further details on this webinar and for details on how to sign up, please see the Using HEAT for Targeting Webinar announcement.
