We have recently completed our latest Legal Agreement review. This important task takes place every three years, allowing us to liaise with the membership, the University of Kent data protection team, and our solicitors, to ensure that our legal documents are up-to-date. Part of the review includes looking at the HEAT Privacy Notice and Data Protection Policy.
I am pleased to announce that both documents have been updated and approved by the solicitor. Important changes worth mentioning are:
May I take this opportunity to remind our Members that any individual whose details are stored on the HEAT database must have read and understood the HEAT Privacy Notice. If these individuals are to be included in the HEAT Track, then they must also have read and understood the Widening Participation Programmes section of the HESA Privacy Notice.
We plan to hold a webinar looking at Data Compliancy in 2024-25. Please do keep an eye out for this event.
