As we all prepare for the Office for Student’s (OfS) new Regional Access Partnerships, there is an increasing need for providers and partnerships to understand the risks affecting equality of opportunity in their regions. The OfS implementation timetable identifies regional assessment and action planning as a key priority for partnerships.
We are delighted to let you know that we are working HEPP, a partnership of Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield, to explore how we can support this work centrally.
HEPP has generously agreed to share a dashboard they have developed to understand progression patterns across South Yorkshire. This dashboard has already provided valuable intelligence for HEPP, including developing their understanding around how school setting shapes post-16 pathways, and how data can help identify where targeted support is most needed. Insights from this dashboard are also helping the partnership to design intervention content, recognising that different approaches are needed for different setting types.
We are excited to work with HEPP to develop and maintain this resource for wider sector use.
To ensure that the dashboard meets the needs of all HEAT members, we will be holding a collaborative webinar to gather feedback. During the webinar, colleagues from HEPP will showcase the dashboard and explain how it is being used. We will then invite the membership to discuss what they need from a regional EORR dashboard. Your feedback will help us shape the dashboard so that it is useful and relevant across different partnership contexts.
We look forward to developing this together and demonstrating what the HEAT community can achieve by sharing expertise, resources, and capacity.
Further details about the webinar will be shared shortly.
