The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - which comes into force on 25th May 2018 - represents significant regulatory change and, as such, will impact ALL organisations handling data (either as data controller or processor). In preparation for the GDPR, HEAT is delighted to host two short identical workshops (one in the morning and one in the afternoon), intended to provide HEAT Core and HEAT NCOP members with a greater understanding of how they might tackle the challenges of the new regulation.

Presented by Victoria Cetinkaya, Senior Policy Officer for the Information Commissioner’s Office, and supported by the HEAT Central Team, these workshops are provided free of charge to HEAT Core and HEAT NCOP members.

We anticipate that demand for places will be high, therefore early booking is highly recommended. Places are limited to ONE representative from each core member HEI or NCOP partnership. To enable presenters to focus on HEAT-specific issues, members are asked to submit burning questions in advance to admin@heat.ac.uk by no later than Friday 30th June.

Registration and refreshments from 1:30pm
